Life Insurance

Protect your family, your income, and your legacy.

Life insurance isn't one product, it's a tool. We help Michigan families choose the right type and amount for what you're actually trying to do: replace income, pay off the house, leave a legacy, cover final expenses, or transfer wealth to the next generation in a generally income-tax-free way.

Take Care of Your Spouse and Family

No one wants to leave their family with financial burdens. Certified Benefit Advisors can help you get a life insurance plan that protects your spouse and family from future income losses. We can structure coverage to protect future income, pass money and assets to family members, and aid with educational expenses.

  • Compare options from more than 40 insurance carriers
  • Protect income and help pay final expenses
  • Pass assets to the next generation
  • Support future educational expenses

Term Life Insurance

Usually the lowest-premium way to cover the years that matter most, usually 10, 20, or 30 years. Great while you're raising kids, paying down a mortgage, or replacing working income.

Whole Life Insurance

Permanent coverage with guaranteed cash value that grows tax-deferred. On a guaranteed level-premium whole life policy the premium does not change and the death benefit does not expire as long as premiums are paid, and you can borrow against the cash value.

Universal Life & Indexed Universal Life (IUL)

Permanent coverage with flexible premiums. IUL adds market-linked growth with a 0% floor, popular for transferring non-qualified assets to children or grandchildren outside of probate and generally income-tax-free to your beneficiaries.

  • Death benefits are generally income-tax-free to beneficiaries
  • Index-linked crediting with a 0% floor, subject to caps and participation rates
  • Potential tax-advantaged supplemental income through policy loans and withdrawals, which reduce cash value and death benefit

Final Expense Insurance

Small whole-life policies ($5,000 to $50,000) designed to cover funeral, burial, and final medical costs. Many are simplified-issue with no medical exam, which can be a fit for older Michigan residents and those with health concerns. Acceptance is not guaranteed and health questions still apply; some policies may also receive favorable treatment in a Medicaid spend-down, which depends on your situation and state rules.
